My Story

Janet is pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University, previously earning her undergraduate degree from Middlebury College.

With over 20 years of experience in the corporate world, Janet has a deep understanding of how toxic work cultures can negatively impact mental health, often resulting in anxiety, depression, and burnout. Striving to help clients find tools to cope with life’s stresses, Janet uses a client-centered approach, focusing on aspects of psychodynamic therapy, CBT, EMDR, existentialism, family systems, and mindfulness.

As a first-generation Taiwanese American, Janet’s life across three continents – the US, Asia, and Europe – has enriched her with a global perspective. This fuels her dedication to providing culturally sensitive care and supporting diverse populations with deep empathy and understanding.

She is well-versed in holistic healing practices, such as Reiki and Qigong, which address and release energy blockages and integrate mind, body, and spirit.

Janet humorously describes herself as an “aspiring human,” recognizing that navigating life without a user’s manual can be tricky. But with a dash of humor, patience, and teamwork, she believes we can all master the art of being human together.
